My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This was a cute story and an easy read. It flowed well, and I really didn’t notice any typos, which is rare for me.
I thought it could have been developed a lot more with some more in-depth emotions, motivations, and details. I would have liked to see the relationship develop more between Marissa and either of the guys she kind of dates during the course of this book, and gotten more of a sense for why they even liked each other. I also found it fairly unrealistic that this girl walks around not really doing much, and basically every guy in her vicinity wants her. Hey, but that’s every girl’s dream, right? That’s why we read books, because reality can be so boring.
But the scenes with the characters getting frisky were entertaining and enjoyable. I really like the cover of this book. (I notice Book 2 has basically the same cover. I’m wondering why the author doesn’t just combine books 1 and 2 to make it one complete book instead of two halves of a book, and then just up the price a bit. I would guess that would prevent issues for some readers who really just don’t like cliffhanger endings.)
Overall, it was a cute story.
