Big Man Blue came out about a month ago now on April 26, 2018. Lots of great reviews on this book so far! People are saying how emotional and captivating it is, how relatable the characters are, and how realistic the dialogue is between the characters.

Of course, as the title and cover suggests, Two Man Red is a sequel to Big Man Blue. This book can be read as a standalone.

Of course, as the title and cover suggests, Two Man Red is a sequel to Big Man Blue. This book can be read as a standalone.

Two Man Red follows Blue’s sister, Blake, as she explores a budding new romance with Chase Charleston, her brother’s fun loving farm hand. A second attractive option presents itself in the form of Hunter Haley, an old flame who’s moved back to town and is taking over for the now-deceased Realtor who Blake had previously relied on for income in her Interior Design business as her primary contract. She’ll have to choose between the two men, who are very different, but who each fulfills different longings within her. She hopefully won’t lose them both in the process.

#Diversity in Romance

Something I’m working on at the moment is a new project on Diversity. This has been a hot topic in the Romance world lately, and personally, I’m really glad it’s finally being talked about. I think everyone should be able to open up a book and find their own races, ethnicities, and cultures represented in the stories they love.

Black Hero Trilogy

This past Friday night, I sat down and designed 3 new covers for a special series I would like to help write. The biggest thing about this, though, is that I don’t plan to be the only one writing in the series. I’ve found one, possibly two other authors who have jumped on board to each write one book, and I’ve presented the idea to a group of Authors of Color to see who else I can get to “buy in” to the series.

The fine details are still being worked out, but the idea is, all the books in this series will be set in a fictional city we currently call “Obsidian Heights.” Each book will have at least one Main Character as a Person of Color (POC). They will each be Contemporary Romance and range in heat level depending on the author.

I look forward to hearing what readers think about the inception of this series idea! I also hope you guys will let other authors know about it if you think they would be interested in writing one of the books!

The Ultimate Romance Readers Survey

Great love of young couple

The last item on the agenda in the video was the updated version of my Ultimate Romance Readers Survey. I first created an earlier version of this survey last year, and sent it to my Newsletter Subscribers as they signed up and joined my mailing list.

This survey has been so instrumental in shaping what books I write, what content I send (or don’t send) in my Newsletters, and how often. They shape the type of characters I write, especially based on the average age of readers, I noticed, being older and in different stages of life than the twenty-somethings of a lot of books we see written in Romance Books.  (I’ve gotten away from doing that, and I can tell you guys have appreciated it!)

Happy reading!
