January 2019 TBR List

Happy New Year! Let’s do some reading. 🙂

Ok, so I have to admit, my TBR list seems a little ambitious for January. At least for me, it does. I usually read about one book per week, usually in the form of audio books. However, there are a couple books on this list that I’ll be reading in ebook format because audio is not available.

Here’s the full list for starters, and then I’ll talk a little about why each of these below.

Books I Read In December 2018 (With a #Giveaway!)

Last December I had this goal to blog a whole lot more in 2018. It’s no surprise, honestly, that I waited until December to make good on that, but for the coming year, I’ve actually got some plans on content to blog about.

Mostly because I’ve recently discovered the awesomeness that is #booktube, and I could literally waste away hours of my time watching videos about what other people are reading. Who knows, maybe I’ll start booktubing these things, too, at some point, but I know from experience how time consuming the editing part of making those videos tends to be, and that is quite a bit of valuable time I could spend with my butt in the writing chair, so for now, let’s start one step at a time.

Don’t forget to scroll to the bottom for a Giveaway! (Closes at midnight on Jan 15, 2019.)

8 Best Books of 2018

With a caveat: these are the 8 best books I have personally read during 2018, and most of them are romance, but a couple of them will surprise you. This year, I have read some pretty amazing books. From my own book club, to a local book club I was thankfully invited to be a part of, to the Hello Sunshine Book Club, and books I’ve just stumbled across from pure luck… I hope you enjoy this list, and I hope you’ll read every single one of them.

Comment below if any of these surprised you, or if you’ve read them – what you thought of them, and let me know what your favorite books of 2018 have been.

Author Reflection for 2018

Ask Yourself…

WHY do you do this?

Why do you do THIS?

Why do YOU do this?

It’s the end of the year, and 2019 is moving quickly upon us. Soon, we’ll all be making our resolutions, goals we hope to achieve over the next 12 months. As a former Life Coach, I could bore you with the benefits of SMART goals, but I’m guessing you can find articles about those all over the place right about now. The thing about Life Coaches is they are very Solution Focused. Why rehash all the mistakes you made when you can jump straight into visualizing what success looks like and how you can go from where you are now to what success looks like for you?

For me, though, reflection is important. I like to take stock of what I’ve accomplished over the past year, but also what I didn’t. Where did I win, and where did I fail? Once I have a good foundation, I have a better idea of where to start in my goal setting process for my future endeavors.
